Golf injuries: osteopathic treatment

Sometimes a session of osteopathy or strengthening abdominal and back is enough to balance our patient golfer around the vertical line through it (line drawn between the heel and up through the center of the occiput) but often the problem goes deeper.

From experience we can now say that the posture before the ball is a reflection of the posture of our body every day. The posture taken by our body in space depends on the proper functioning of environmental sensors: eyes, teeth, ears for the upper body and feet to the lower body.

Roughly if someone does not see the right eye, he will balance his field of vision always be right rotation of the upper body. If a sensor is defective, it becomes parasite posture causing postural deficiency syndrome. These parasites cause therefore unconsciously errors swing plane, club path, distribution of body weight, weight transfer and body movement of the center of gravity during the swing.

This posture can also be influenced by block joints, muscle imbalances, scar tissue adherent.

SENSORS THAT CAN DISTURB THE POSTURE TO THE BALL:

EYES when presenting acuity disorders or in the intrinsic muscles of the eye (eg lack of convergence)

FEET may have irritating spines (sesamoiditis, fasciitis posterior insertion on calcaneus) on which our patients do not support unconsciously disrupting the posture of the lower body.

Achieving soles posturologic isolating these thorns and stimulating certain channels overlying muscle is then necessary to correct bad posture.

soles with elements below 3 mm unloading and irritating thorns with an action on the muscular chains correcting poor posture of the lower body. They can sometimes compensate for some inequalities of the lower limbs (tibia or femur shorter on one side versus the other) when they are poorly tolerated by the lower body. They must be performed by a competent CHIROPODIST posturology.

TEETH when there is tooth loss, a polymétalisation, poor dental occlusion with occlusal disorders, pain and  joint cracking mandibular orthodontic problems disturbing the posture of the upper body.

There are muscles between the jaw, shoulders and base of the skull.

Achieving dental trays, of Alpheus (points resin on some teeth) and orthodontic treatment or functional classic is essential to correct the posture of the upper body.

Before any treatment physiotherapist, ensure a good osteopathic treatment has been conducted. Indeed often poor posture can be the consequence of attitudes analgesics to offset underlying articular block.
